New Arrivals!

WE have about one half a million barn cats- at any given time- I don't know them- just catch a glimpse here and there-- but we do have 4 that were special- and have stayed special!!

Forgive me- I am not the crazy cat person- but I do like my cats!! Especially outside cats that survive!

So we had Ruby- Ruby was a semi-wild barn cat-- Ruby was Coug's sister- remember Coug? - he was my one eyed rescue kitty!!!   So when Coug turned up missing- Ruby decided she could be friends with me and Chet-- When Ruby had babies- I was able to find them mixed into a pile of straw- Rubies babies- started to like me- and the 3 that stuck around-- became Porter's Pets--

There is Cleo- Max and Sharon!

Sharon was prego this last 6 weeks-- Porter loved to rub her belly - and tell People that "Sharon Babies in Tummy"-- Wednesday when me and Porter got home- we did the usual- Rub on Sharon's huge tummy- and went in to make purple waffles.

I came out about 30 minutes later-- to feed dogs, horses, and cats (barn cats usually don't get fed- it is their job to hunt down the millions of mice- but I feed the 3 special ones!)  Any way - I hear a baby kitten crying- and look as Sharon runs past me to eat the food- there sitting on the deck- is a black (calico actually after careful inspection) wet baby kitten- Annie just looked at it- she's learned he lesson about baby kittens!!!

Porter then opened the door- and Sharon ran in- and positioned herself in a cubby - by teh coats and dog food- to resume her birthing!!!

I grabbed the tiny wet kitten and wrapped it in a rag and tried to warm it up- (it was not a warm day!) Porter was exstatic! He wanted to hold it-- and touch it - andpoke it!!  I wanted it to survive- so I didn't allow to much poking or proding!!

We sat down next to Sharon to watch what was going to happen. We sat down- and I told Porter to watch -

he watched- and what he saw- I think confused him- heheh-- he looks at me- super confused and concerned- as a wet messy sack of baby goo- and baby kitten came out- he said- Sharon poop babies?

Yup- you got it!!!

He was concerned with the mess it made as well- apparently he is a little OCD-- he kept telling me
Sharon peed -- sharon peed.

Mess!!

He was super concerned.

I peeled the sac off the babies face- cuz Sharon was too busy doing whatever else (having 4 more kittens) and she then started to clean the baby off-- Porter again - concerned-

Said "Sharon Taste it?"

Yup- I said she's giving it a bath-- cuz its dirty- don't touch

Porter said - Sharon Taste it? Yucko?

Then the babies were starting to cry - he said- BAbies Crying- I said- yup- they want some milk-- (since he's big into babies eating boobies! - I figured this would make sense-- ) nope he got up- went to the fridge and brought the whole gallon of milk-- !!

After about 45 minutes or so- there were 6 tiny little babies- all different- one orange, one white, one calico- one black and white (big patches of whtie) one almlost all black- and one black with white face and paws!

 Porter loves his babies!!!
 Huge Baby Hands!!!
Porter loves them- and first thing every morning- he runs out to check on them- and he kisses them good night- ! Sweet baby!!  Oh and he tells people=- That Sharon poops Babies!

Ooh the kids will love seeing these little babies soon. Maybe their eyes will be open by then. I love how you tell Porter not to touch them and he just can't resist!
