First Day of School!!

Well the first day of school was today-- so like all good parents-- we wanted to make sure our kids were ready! We started by making sure their back packs fit just right. Looks like Annie is ready to go. I don't think she thought this was as funny was me and Chet did, but seriously look at her!

Got gets 2 back packs-- cuz he's bigger right!! He looks like he is really enjoying it!! Goat and Annie off to their first day of school!





We actually came up with a better plan for the Goat than school. Since horses are such a pain. We decided to try the goat as our pack mule!! He's small enough to control-- and he loves to be by you and will follow you everywhere. So Saturday morning we decided to try to find goat a pack -- well we couldn't find any -- like its not a common item at Walmart?
So I got the bright idea-- we'll just take 2 back packs and tie them on with a belt! It worked great!! We took the goat for a 2 mile walk with rocks in his pack--down to the field to show him off to my brother who was swathing hay!! He about fell out of the tractor laughing!! He said it looks like the goat is ready for school!!
So the plan is -- kind of-- to take the goat hunting with us! He'll be able to pack our water-- lunch, and if we shoot something maybe some of the animal back out!! Sounds good to me!! We'll see how it goes!
