Bringing Baby Home

Well with Porter I was super super nervous to bring him home. I didn't know what to do with him-- and he was a naughty baby (cried alot!!) -- with Paige- I wanted to get out of the hospital and get home and get back to feeling normal (even if you are not sick-- the hospital makes you feel sick-!)

So Monday - October 22, 2012, me and Chet loaded our little car up with the precious baby!!-- It was a cold windy rainy day -- we left Porter at Jodi's house for a few more days so he could get over his rotten sickness!! --

and drove home -- it was calmer than our drive with Porter-I wasn't as nervous- that the baby (if out of my sight) would disappear (true fear- odd I know!) -- I even rode in the front seat - instead of hovering over the carseat in the back (like I did with Porter) -- I didn't flip a single other driver off -- for driving to fast or close to me  and my precious cargo (like I might hvae done with Porter? [pleading the 5th!]) --

We got home-- and it was a surreal feeling- empty the house was quiet-- and clean-- and dark--

NO one was running around screaming or tugging at me-- we set down the carrier-- and I was soo figity - that I continued to dot his and that and putter around-- it was raining hard so we just ran in the house and left all our stuff in the car till later- I had no idea what to do?--

I didn't feel tired-- I just felt wired-- and like I was missing something (and I was Porter!)

I finally settled in with my new little baby Paige- and awaited the 1st night home- the hardest night (right?) --

Well it wasn't she was peaceful and content-- and slept very very good- 4 hours at a time-- oh my !!!

The next day Chet brought Porter home-- and then I felt complete.!!

He immediately wanted  to see her toes!!

She has the cutest little feet- super long long Big toes!!! (Forgive my look-this is how I hung out for the first few days- while getting used to Little Miss-- and nursing etc. etc. etc.!)
Porter insisted she needed a bath- and she probably did-- so a little sponge bath for the tiny beebe (again ignore my chubby belly!!)
She does not like to be cold-- even now that is really the only time she'll fuss alot - is if she gets cold!!
Her first bath at home went well- me and chet both commented - even when she was crying- that she was "not as scary as Porter was!" --
 All cozy in pink-- !!!
