9 MONTHS

Well I have made it-- Or Porter has Made it??I don't know which is a truer statement-

But Porter has now been OUT- as long as he was IN-- does that make sense-- makes perfect sense to me!!

NIne months pregnant--now Porter is nine months old! Hooray

Nine Months Ago

Too cute -- Little Man helping to Plant the garden! He just thought it was the funnies thing- to watch Grandpa and Grandma rake the rows--

Then the real laughter came when Grandpa would smack the ground with the hoe - to plant the potatoes--

This kid is all boy -- anything rough-loud - and tumbly --he loves!!

Things that should scare him-- don't-
Dogs barking- laughs
Power Tools-- laughs
Silly Baby -- always wants to watch the boys weld-- and gets mad when I walk away -- so he doesn't burn his eyes-- we need to find him a tiny baby welding mask!! Hehe!

We took Porter to the doctor today -- I say we--and mean we-- Chet has been amazing with Doctor appointments-- he came to all but one of my prenatal appointments-- and has been to all but one quick doctor appointment of Porter's

We took Porter in and had him measured weighed and looked at-- no shots this time Whew!!

Porter at Nine Months Old:

Weight - 17 pounds 4 ounces - 20th Percentile- I swear he feels heavier- but that is I am sure attributable to the huge pile of pee in his pants!!!

Height - 28 inches - 50th Percentile --

Head 45 1/2 cm - 35th Percentile--

Porter has 2 teeth

Is a crawling machine-and is trying to learn to walk-- he stands up to everything and lets go-- only to crash devastatingly to the ground! Some day he'll walk up behind me and ask for "More Milk Please" it will surprise me- I am sure!!

Porter loves to eat-- he eats everything-- even dirt!! as most babies do he has to taste everything -- and has found that his mouth actually works well for another hand-- and he packs stuff around in his mouth-- hilarious- but I have not been fast enough with the camera!!

Porter loves to pick out movies -- n0t to watch- just to get out-- the best way to do this- is to pull all the movies out and then scoot them around teh floor-- he has found that slick things make crawling easier-- and will put a movie-- remote-- or lotion bottle under one hand and slide around! -- Its hilarious!

Porter-- has finally - knock on some wood some where please!! sleeping through the night--

He goes down pretty well-- most nights--and sleeps until about 5:30-- ish-- he used to then get in bed-- snuggle with me-- get a little boobie and sleep for another couple hours-- which meant I got to sleep for more hours-- but now he has a strict 6:00 a.m. out of bed rule!!

uhg!!

He loves to play and will generally come if called- its like calling a puppy -- and sometimes I found my self slapping my knee and calling to him- just like a dog-- Here Porter-- Here Porter! Maybe if I whistled-- HMM?

Porter loves his Grandpa Purcell-- especially cuz he gets to drive the pickup-- and any time he hears a diesel sounding vehicle-- he gets all excited and looks for his grandpa to come and get him! Its hilarious- and sometimes sad when he realizes that he's not going for a ride

He does like to drive-- and especially likes to shift the car-- yes he thinks he is super big--and we encourage this behavior!

Porter is also a baby bear hunter-- Check out the drive we went on-- Porter - just like a dog-- likes to stick his head out the window to see better when we drive around--

See him enjoying the Snow-- yes that is snow in May -- End of May to be precise!

Just can't say enough good about this tiny man- Just love love love him!

You seem like such a laid back, fun mom. And he is a very cute kid. I love the family picture at the top of your blog.

Nine months was a milestone for me because after that it meant our baby had spent more time out of the womb than in it. Since our baby was adopted, I had always been slightly jealous of the time she had spent in her birth mom's tummy and kinda felt like her birth mom knew her better. But that seemed to change when we hit the nine month mark. Maybe it was silly, but that's how it was.

Love the picture of you in the hammock.

You didn't mention that he is alot more mellow and cuddly than he used to be. To me anyway, he is more friendly!
