Daddy Daughter Date

Do you remember when you were younger-- and church or wherever would have Daddy Daughter Dates-- I was always soo excited- a date - with your Dad! Well I got to have my own Daddy Daughter Date last night!

2 weeks ago -- I miraculously won concert tickets on the radio, to Lady Antebellum -- If you don't know who they are -- they are a newer country group-- they are very good! Any way I was sooo stoked-- They played the stupid clip of me winning them forever-- and every time they asked me who I was taking and of course "my husband" ! Well he had to work that day -- but he figured he could switch shifts with someone-- ! Well it turned out no one would switch him -- (Heartless people). So I was bummed -- no better word I was irate-- I had planned out this wonderful date-- I had dinner plans-- I had tickets, I had it all planned out! So I was pissed when no one would trade him -- and they had no good reasons -- just being mean! So I waited until Sunday night-- to see if someone maybe had a change of heart -- nope still no one would trade-- So now I have to find a date?? Hmm! Who wants to go to Lady Antebellum-- figured I'd have people knocking down my door! I called my good friend Shar-- she really did want to go-- but couldn't find a babysitter-- so I was bummed-- My mom suggested my dad! I didn't really think he'd be into it-- but I tried-- and he was excited to go! So we made it a date-- I picked him up at 6:00 we went to dinner and a concert!! He didn't really get into it-- but I think he liked it-- at least a little bit ! Mostly it was great to spend time with him! WE all take for granted the people we hold the dearest to our hearts-- believing that they will always be there -- We need to remember to make the most of each day! Put our busy schedules aside for a minute -- and remember what is the most important things to us -- Our Family!
So thanks for going with me Dad! It was a great Date!
