Weekend Warriors - Potty Training

This past weekend- and the weekend before I attempted very very fervently to get Porter really interested in potty training- not just running around naked- potty training- but actually having his weiner covered- and knowing that he is supposed to not pee in his Thomas Undies- type of motivation (cuz he was a star at the naked potty trained-- if only the world was ok with him going to Walmart naked!!)

So i told him last Saturday morning- if he could keep Thomas dry all day long- I'd get him 2 gold fishes- his response was -- He has gold fishes in the cupboard-- haha- his 2 yr old Wit- is outstanding!!!

I made myself clearer- but I really think it was Monday before we got the idea in his head- and played out-- he got his gold fishes- and loves them!!!

Then the real week started ( had Monday off as a holiday!!)  and back into a diaper he went- cuz that is easy -- and well -- I really just lost ambition!!!

So this weekend- I wanted to "hit" it hard again!!!

Saturday morning- bright and early - he woke me up-I changed his diaper and put on Undies- this time I told him I'd take his Fish back to Walmart- ooh threats-- we'll see which gets me farther- giving him things -- or threatening to take things away -- -probably both poor parenting skills!! But guess what- he was dry all day - even during naps!!!

Sunday -- I was trying to not be too brave- but I took him to Church- he lasted the whole 3 hours-- (I had brought a complete outfit change just incase ) he took a nap when he got home and woke up dry- hooray-- he came into the kitchen and i as busy and didn't take him right to pee- My bad-- he peed- but caught it- and finished in the pot!!! i think that is victory!!!

Today he is once again running naked with Chet-- He really likes to sit on his pillow pet naked??-- and why wouldn't you right??


So we'll see how that goes the rest of the week!! I think he is there- and if I can just convince myself to stick to it- we'll be golden!!!
