Girlz Night!

So as I have said before- I want to make 2012- my year-- Not as in "me" "mine" but as in the year that I become and really be the person I want to be- do the things I want to do-- and one of them - is do more fun things with my sister and sister-in-laws and my mom!! Not just hang out and watch our kids play-- but really do something fun- do something for us!!

Now we all want a spa day- we all want alot of things- alot of people in hell want ice water- and that was about as close as we could all get to a spa day-- money money money -- no one has it-- and yet- so many fun things revolve around it!!

So i thought- hey I can make this fun and cheap - free-- so I went to putting together a spa evening for the ladies in my life- and it turned out wonderful!!!  There was no hot french (italian, peruvian- whatever it is you like) half naked man massaging us- and my living room didn't transform into a spa- but it was nice - - it was fun-- and most of all I think we all came away with a rejuvenated feeling!!!

So this is what we did--

I had chicken salad sandwiches and tropical fruit salsa- ooh my fav's!!!  Then I had made some chocolate and caramel dipped pretzel sticks.-- divine- I tell you- than you pinterest- you have added 2 sizes to my jeans this month!!!

 

Jodi had provided pink foot baths for each of us to soak our tired mommed out feet in -

 

and we turned on a chic flick!!! -- Bride Wars-

I had put together a bag of spa goodies for the ladies- including- finger nail polish- a wheat heat pack I had made, a hair band  and other small things for pedicures!!!

We did pedicures-

 

 

and facials- with all natural ingredients from the house-

 

- we all tried different ones- and I think we all loved them?

 

 Terresa did a microderm abrasion- with baking soda!!

Mom did asprin peel 

Kara and I did a Honey, nutmeg and cinnamon mask- oh my was it glorious smelled delcious- tasted good, but dripped like a melting ice cream cone- !!!

Jodi did a sugar and baking soda mask- which is my favorite- and for some reason I cannot find her picture- dang it- it made her lovely and shiney!!!

- no one had a terrible reaction (that I know of) and who doesn't like to have pictures taken of you when you have something slathered on your face!!

It was a short evening- but great!!

So here's to a big surprise for next month?? Who knows what it might be?? Something fun for sure!!
