Christmas 2011

Well unfortunately for any one reading this-- but not for me - - - this Christmas was sooo much more mellow than last Christmas- -- remember the Projectile Vomit??  If not - read up on it-- it will make you laugh- I promise!!

This year- even amid the stomach flu being passed around- so very close to us (Sorry Jodi's family!) -- we were able to avoid the nasty thing!!!  Hooray - no sickness for Christmas


We Set up a tree this year- I know how holly jolly of us!! -- Its been quite a few years since we've  done a tree -- so we started there!!!

We did this the day after Thanksgiving-- and Porter continued to decorate and undecorate the tree for the next 25 days!!! (or more I guess!!)

Porter put on some very festive stockings and trapsed around the house -- like this all December long!!!

Me and Porter endulged in sweets- we made brownies for breakfast one morning!!!  Yumm!!!  

I love his chocolate smile-- Ooh he is soo dang cute!!!

(uhm a side note on this one- I now need Zumba friends more than ever!!--- anyone up for some serious Zumba but kicking??)

Porter had his first encounter with Santa Clause- and he was suprisingly ok with it???

We had teh special visitor come to my parents for Christmas Eve- surprised all of the grandkids- I have a video I'll upload at some point (when i figure out how to! -help me Jodi!)

Porter snuggled up on his lap- just like he had known him all his life-- !!!

Me and Chet then took Porter to look at Christmas lights and hopefully fall asleep-- it did work-- if you notice Porter is wearing the same thing Christmas morning he was Christmas Eve-- yes I'm a bad mom!!!

Porter ended up in my bed around 3:00 a.m.-- then awake and excited around 4:00-- he was giving me some "higha haws" - riding me like a horse at 4:00 a.m.-- GRR!!-- at 6:00 a.m. chet finally asked if he thought Santa had come- and did he want to go and look- he didn't want to-- didn't believe Santa had come-- probably not cuz you were Higha Hawing your mommya t 4:00 am.--    We allw ent back to sleep until 9:00 a.m.

At 9:00 we all finaly woke up- we talked Porter into going out to the living room - and he was soo surprised-- He'd hit the jack pot- Santa must be a forgiving soul!!! Or he had already brought the goods prior to the 4:00 a.m. Higha- haw!

Santa was good to Porter- he had already removed the pillow pet and the Hello Kitty (more on that in a minute!) and was snuggling it!!!

(Porter Loves Hello Kitty - seriously loves it-- We go to the store- and he picks out Hello kitty every where!- I tried to show him how soft these elmo slippers were- and he said- Mom- Hello Kitty is soft too-- luckily Santa knew of his affinity to Hello kitty -and brought him a Hello kitty Soft toy! -- Well now Hello kitty snuggles the moosy Pillow Pet- porter positions them in a ooh soo familiar "nursing" fashion - and says - "Hello Kitty needs his mommy" -- Its hilarious!!

 I got Chet this wonderful hat- chet doesn't love it- but Porter does- and it looks super cute on me- guess its my hat now!! if Porter will allow it!

 I was spoiled and got new Pots and Pans--ooh my they are soo nice and shiny!! I love love love them!

We spent Christmas Day with Dave and Verena and it was very nice and relaxed- we had yummy turkey and ham- and twice baked potatoes- Porter had candy- !! 

We got some awesome presents from everyone!!  Porter insisted on opening his presents with his teeth (yes his pants are off -- he insisted!! )

 Porter got an awesome Fire Truck-- he drove it all over the house - and when we got home- we showed him it shoots water missiles- WOW!

 He got a power tool- his own drill -- he loves it and drills everything!

Here he is opening his presents- he had to get all pieces off of the tag before he could open the paper- silly baby!!!

We had Christmas with my family the day after-- It was wonderful as always- delicious turkey and home made rolls, stuffing and jello salad!!  OOh I was soo full!!!

Terresa, Chet and me were stuck at the kids table with the 4 - two year olds! Wow- how lucky were we!! Porter finally ate some real food (if Jello falls into that category) and the two year olds ran the house-- oh my my!!!

We were showered with amazing presents- including an aerial picture of the farm- and a picture book of my Great Grandpa's life-- (my dad's dad) -- I was soo excited to have it!!!  

Porter got a Teddy Bear from my mom-- he immediately rubbed his fae on the bears feet- then proceeded to Motor Boat its nether regions-- seriously h elikes soft stuff alot!!! - Doug, Kara, Chet and I almost peed our pants laughing at him  get busy with the bear-- I think it was a hit!!!

Christmas was a wonderful time - filled with amazing memories!! Thank you to all who took time to spend it with us-- we love you all!!
