Christmas Time - -

I have really been trying hard to not let my feelings about snow and winter-- interfere with my feelings about Christmas!! -- I love Christmas-- I love the lights-- I love the singing-- I love the parties-- the food- the presents-- I love it all!!!  (Except the snow!!!, Cold, Wind, Ice!!) But everything else-- I love about it-- the feelings surrounding it-- (generally!) and most of all the family togetherness!!

Me and Chet unfortunately work -- fairly opposite schedules-- so our time together is limited-- Chet gets 1 weekend a month off-- (which I feel is super crappy!)  Usually on that one weekend-- he is off hunting some ungodly creature-- but this weekend-- the weather didn't cooperate-- just ever so-- and me and Porter got to keep him!! Hooray!  We love when we get to keep him !!

We made the most of it!!

Friday night we watched a movie-- and ate some dinner--

Saturday -- he was supposed to be hunting with his dad- but the weather didn't work out-- so we were home-- we both had a few errands to run in the morning-so we divided and conquered!!

Once we got home-- the weather was fairly nice-- the snow had stopped and it wasn't soo eye freezing cold outside-- we suited Porter up -- and headed out for some sledding-- of course, my battery to my camera died- as soon as I walked outside- so there is no pictures of me on the sled- but I promise I rode with Porter for along time- my frozen butt cheeks can attest to that!

His mittens make his hand function - minimal at best-- so he mostly just hangs his hands out!!

Look at those cute boys-- Porter wasn't smiling for the camera-- he was smiling at the dog- -but oh well -- I caught it!!

After my bum was too cold to sit any more-- we let Porter play in the slide- he loved it!!

It started to snow again - so we went inside !

Chet pulled us behind the 4 wheeler and around in the field for about 30 minutes-- I was surprised -- Porter didn't make a peep-- except the one time i set him on the sled alone- just so I could stand up-- he squeeked then-- it was more like a "Hell no I'm not riding this sled alone -- sit your frozen cheeks back down women" in his ooh soo cute baby talk!!

After we were super frozen - we all went in to warm up by the fire- Chet watched the movie again - and Porter helped me sew!

Sunday Chet really wanted to go hunting-- but again the conditions were crappy -- and he wanted to earn brownie points with me -- so he stayed home-- to attend my parents Choir cantata -- it was wonderful-- Porter and Karston -- snacked on animal crackers- until karston was soo tired- he had to throw his animal crackers-- a few benches forward-- hehehe Silly Monkey!!

Then we headed to Pocatello -- to hang out with the Thompson Clan-- it was wonderful- Dave and Verena had made a tasty turkey-- stuffing- potatoes- candied yams-- the works!!

We got to Dave and Verena's before any one else- so Porter checked out the stocking bags under the tree-- he liked Briane's best for some reason - and ended up eating all her candy (naughty baby ) luckily Briane' only likes milk right now!!!

Porter got some super cute clothes- Chet liked this one best- it says Mountain Lion Hunter-- Ooh how fitting!

Porter scored big time-- what a spoiled baby -- ( I love it!)  He got a dump truck-that he can ride on-- he perked right up-- (up until then - he was unimpressed with teh pajamas and clothes he had gotten!)

Me and Chet made a haul as well-- with "end of the world supplies" - just what I love!!! 

 We drove home in rain and had to take it plenty slow- never knowing when the rain would turn to ice!!  But we made it home safe and sound- unloaded and headed for bed--  its tough playing all weekend-- but I loved it- my house is destroyed-- but its ok-- I'm enjoying every minute of our time together!!!
