But just so you didn't think I forgot-- I did celebrate Halloween-- Oh boy did we celebrate!
First we started with Pumpkin Carving- I always loved to carve pumpkins as a kid-- we'd dig out the guts-- draw on our faces- and wait for my dad to cut them out -- I loved the part when we'd turn off the lights and watch our works of art glow!! OOh !!
So this year I invited all to my house for a pumpkin carving festival-- I think it was great! There were some wonderful pumpkins I tell you - and some unusual carving mechanisims-- but that is what we do best -- UNUSUAL STUFF!!
Then Friday - me and Jodi and Kara had planned to take the kids to a local "Trick or Treat Street"-- we drove by after work -- with only 1 hour to go -0- there was a line- that stretched over 1/2 mile (seriously -- it might have been longer) we thought - not a chance in hell the little kids will want to wait that long- and no way did I want to wait!
So we were all dressed up and no where to go-- so we headed to my house-- we hooked up the trailer-- and the 4 wheeler and we were off--
What doesn't scream halloween like a wagon ride right??
We went to the neighbors-- who were surprised to see Trick -or- treaters-- but Billy and Jana never disapoint and candy was had for all!!!
Then we headed down to the field - my Dad and Doug were plowing and we figured the little kids could see the tractors and dad could see his cute grandkids all dressed up!
Porter was unhappy the ice cream got taken away!
Then we needed pictures with Grandpa and the tractor-- it was getting dark - so we headed back--
Doug followed behind us with his blinkers on -- and would get close and rev the engine- the little kids would squeal - and scream go faster- he's gonna get us!! Hehehe! It was great fun!!!
On Saturday -- we headed to my mom's for Trick-or treating - and Brownies (little elves that bring surprises on halloween)
Porter never did get the hang of trick -or treating- but did realize that if he was nice and said HI-- he got candy--
Karston however, figured it out and was a wonderful trick -or treater- I think he even kept up with Garrett!!
Wicked Witches!
Chet had to work, but he came over for food during his lunch!!
Scooby, Velma and Shaggy- I love it!
Remi had the best costume- I was scared!
Porter and Grandpa swinging in the porch swing- passing out candy to trick-or- treators!
All in all - it was wonderfully fun!!I loved getting dressed and seeing others dressup--and really -- what is Halloween all about -- some say candy - but I say -- Its a Day you can Dress Like a Slut- and no one can say a word!!! Hehehe !
Its a day when Little Boys Dress Like Little Girls-- and Little Girls -- dress like LIttle Whores!!!

Haha! Halloween was a blast this year! So glad when it was over, though. Loved Remi's costume!
