Open Season!!!

So living in the Country has all sorts of perks, benefits and other added pluses-- its like a private club!! Well ok, there are some downsides to it too-- like the creepy crawly things that seem to live everywhere I want to be! Last night I drove in right at dusk with a car load of groceries-- as I was sitting in the pickup-- kind of waiting for Chet to realize I was home and come unload me - (yes I know I'm lazy!) and also I was singing as loud as I could to a Brad Paisley song -- (yes another benefit of the Country -- no one can hear you!) I noticed by the cows-- small comings and goings-- I squinted to see better- yup sure enough-- nasty little creepy crawly - mice-- they were skittering all over- there were ooh maybe 5 or so-- so I stomped into the house through the mud in heels-- oh that is fun!! Told chet to grab the 22 -- the mice are out-- this over the years has become a favorite past time of me and Chet-- Mice Snipers ! We are pretty sure some days our sniper skills will come into play for more important reasons-- but right now-- its super fun -- yes I know-- disgusting-- to snip mice from long distances!! What can I say -- I'm a cheap date-- a box of 22 shells-- and some mice-- we're set!

Well it was getting to dark for my scope -- so only Chet could see!! He managed to get a few of them!! HOoray !

Well this morning-- I run out of the house-- late as usual - I'm in flip flops and a swim suit-- yes I know proper March attire right!! -- any way -- I run out to feed the cows-- now I have my coat on !!-- and I grab a big hand ful of hay to throw to the cows-- and what jumps off-- right in front of my face-- you got it-- nasty mice! EEK! AT least it jumped away from me and not at me! Ooh I hate them! Gives me shivers!
