---This morning Jodi got up and went to work 3 days overdue (tougher than me) for her 4th shift (way tougher than me). About 11:30 Jodi called and said that she was having contractions but that they weren't regular at all. So I decided I probably should get things ready in case something happened. Around 4:00 p.m. Jodi called and said she was going to go down stairs and have them check her and so I called Jodi's mom (Super Woman to the rescue) and she took Hannah and Garrett and off I went. I got to the hospital and went in to the room and Jodi was in the bed and her nurse was getting things started. When she checked Jodi the nurses eyes got big and said your at 7-8 cm. (just about to have a kid). then Anethesia came and put in the, best thing that ever happened to childbirth, the epidural. then Jodi went from white nuckling the rail to sleeping. Then about 6:30 the Dr. came in and then they started the pit and at 7:22 Ryan Mark was born 8lbs and 2oz. I don't know the length. --
So After hearing the news I ran up to the hospital to greet the new guy! Now I know everyone likes babies, and they are cute and precious, etc. etc. -- but new borns -- forgive me-- but most of them are pretty ugly -- they are all mangled-- and their head is the wrong shape, they are all bruised, and scratched up-- they had a rough ride -- I get it-- but they are tiny -- so they are cute-- but -- he actually was very cute ! He wasn't all banged up-- he was wide eyed, and wanting to look around! These are some pictures that Blaine took right after he was born.
This is my favorite picture-- it looks like he's smiling for the camera!
What a proud little mama-- doesn't she look great-- her hair isn't even out of place!!
Why are all you people torturing me!! Doesn't he look pleased to get his temperature taken!
Ok, enough with the lights already !! Can you imagine the rude awakening! I think its a good thing we don't remember being born!!
Well congratulations Jodi and Blaine-- he's super cute!
