Paige 4 Months

I am a little behind- forgive me- things have been a little bit crazy!!!

February 20- Paige turned 4 months- wow how time flies--

UP to that point- she had been healthy healthy-

We all got the Influenza- she did not! HOoray--

I took her in on the 22nd of February - for her 4 month check up-- things looked great!!

WEight = 12 lbs 5 oz -- 13th percentile (a little tiny thing!)
Height = 24 1/2 inches -- 42nd percentile
Head = 15 3/4 inches  --32nd percentile

she did great with her shots--

Porter was soo concerned- the couple of days before we went-- he was concerned that she was going to get shots-- and was going to cry- he has such a sweet heart!

When I took her to the doc he came with-- when we went out of the room to weigh her- he asked if she was getting shots now-- soo concerned- andhe was sweet with her- while she was crying after her shots! (the 30 seconds it took for her to be mad about it!! ( I swear my heart hurts worse than her shots do when she gets stabbed!) --
She sticks her tongue out constantly- makes her the drooliest baby ever!!!

That was on a Friday-- By Monday she was coughing and starting to fever up- (Porter was sick all weekend - with the cough and fever) --

 Hmm- Maybe Paige learend the tongue thing from him- this is what I get now when I ask for a picture!!! - and he felt crappy too- so that didn't help!

By Tuesday she had a fever and was miserable-- just and and squeaky from crying!
I took her to Jodi on Wednesday - since she seemed pretty good- and I feel bad I did- she was a miserable mess for Jodi (sorry JOd!)
After a weekend from hell- neither child slept good-- Friday or Saturday - criedmost of the night--
On Saturday I finally took her in- she'd had a fever since Tuesday (basically) and when I took her in - she was sick- ear infection in the passenger side ear (right) -- and bronchialitis  (could be RSV -- they didn't test her- because the treatment is the same)-- they did a breathing treatment on her-- and gave her some antibiotic-- and sent me home with a nebulizer to do breathing treatments on her at home every 4 hours round the clock- uhg!!! - I called to advise what was going on -- I got through the first call ok-- with my mom- when I called kara- I broke down and just sobbed on the phone- I was soo tired- and felt soo bad for that tiny little baby that was sick! --

It was soo sad- I seriously wanted to bawl every time I had to do this-- she'd fight fight fight- and I felt like I was gassing her- she's screaming- and the smoke is coming around her face- it was soo sad--

I finally started to wait till she was asleep and then do it-- it didn't wake her up- I didn't have to cry -- and everyone was happier!!!

The breathing treatments helped-- Kara had brought over some DoTerra Breath oil - earlier that week and doped her chest and feet up- and that helped tons (Thank you for coming to my rescue Kara!)-- sitting in the shower helped- and Porter was happy to sit with her and hang out in the running water! and warm olive oil in her ears- helped to relive the pain!

Finallyl she started to feel better- and Jodi was sweet enough to take her even though she was not so happy - and wanted to be held-- alot-- (Jodi is the best sister ever- she comes to my rescue continually!) -

She is now back to her basically happy self- except she thinks she needs to always be held-- silly baby! --

But she is almost 5 months- now- where is time going!! Slow down!

 What a doll- this morning getting ready to leave for work- here comes that tongue again!!!

Oh those pictures with the tiny nebulizer makes me sad poor little baby girl. I am so glad she is feeling better. Glad I could kind of help you I felt so bad for you and Paige. I am a firm believer that babies should never be sick its just to sad. Love you both soo very much!

Yay for not sick kids! The comment about gassing her cracked me up but the way she reacted to the breathing treatments, you'd think that's what we were doing to her, lol. I think she will always want to be held all the time. She likes people next to her even if she isn't being held. :)

Oh man.....RSV is awful! Hallie had it when she was 4 months old too! But lucky for me they didn't do a mask for breathing treatments, just a tube puffing out the stuff and she just had to breath. It was awful though. I'm so sorry you had to deal with it! And holy cow! A bear! That is awesome!
