After going to the doc for Paige's 4 month check- the doc thought it was a good idea to start giving her some baby cereal - or try to -- hahah!
So after a couple of weeks- on March 11, 2013, I finally gave in and made up some cereal--
I mixed the cereal with some boob milk- to try to make it taste like something similar to what she usually eats-- just plain old boobs!!
Porter was curious- as to what I was doing- I told him I was making Paige some oatmeal-- he wanted to taste it-- I gave hima big ole spoon full- his first reaction (knee jerk) was yumm- then it hit him- he said- that is not yumm- that is gross.
Well needless to say- Paige thought the same thing- gross@!!
As you can see- she started pretty well propped up and as she fought me more and more- she ended up basically laying down - I gave up - and quit- gave her some boob - and she went to sleep!!
I've tried a couple more times- and she hates is just the same-! I gave her a bite of Porter's oatmeal the other day - and she liked that- didn't spit it out and scream at me!!
Any tips on how to get babies to eat that nasty cereal?-- I've tried putting applesauce in it- she didn't love that?
Chet thinks (and i agree) she is just not ready for it- !
But she is waking up in the night more (more than I want to get up) so i think she's needing more- ?
Or maybe it is just her- as Jodi and Blaine explain it-- "you feel like you have to talk her into everything!" heheh-- that is it-- talking her into trying something new!

i've never seen the appeal of baby cereal at all. it smells nasty and just looks like gloop. keep trying, and maybe she'll let herself get talked into it :)
Dane hated real food for a long time. The girls were all over it the second I gave it to them but Dane took almost 2 months of trying till he finally liked any kind of baby food. Kids are so hard to figure out!
