Ouch!!!

Can I first put a disclaimer on this -- I do not beat my child!!  He is a rough and tumble baby -- and by 8:30 at night his balance has lost him- and yet he continues to rev up his little baby engine-- his mind moves slower and his feet move faster-- its one of the wonders of the world- at least in my house!!

So we had just finished up Porter's 18 month pictures -- I am soo glad we finished them that night -- because -- well look -- that's why!

Porter had gotten out of the tub and was doing his usual evening spin up- he wants to make sure he has exhausted  all his energy before he finally gives up and goes to bed -- Chet went out on the porch to get wood for the fire -- Porter- as usual- ran out to help-- he apparently tripped over himself?? I don't know-- and smacked his poor little face -- right into a piece of wood- he laid there on the floor- screaming- I went to grab him -- for sure expecting - the worse- (that's how I work!) -- I expected a piece of wood to be sticking out of a cheek- or even worse an eye-- nope- nothing- a littlel blood on his nose- and a small drip on his eye-- but mostly he was mad!  He is the toughest baby though - he quit crying in about a minute and a half- and then was off to do other things!! -- I finally caught some pictures of him -- to document his ouchies!!
He was non to thrilled with me taking pictures of it- and at one time tried to poke me with a fork- but we got them!!  Gave him some Ibuprofen- cuz -- lets be honest- if I did that-- I'd need some drugs for sure!!
Kissed him on his sweet puffed up eye- and he went to bed!
I didn't see it today - he was still sleeping when I left- but Chet said he'd send me pictures if it looked worse-- ooh poor baby!!

Poor baby! Luckily they heal FAST! In a few days you'll never know it happened.

Poor little thing! You should tell him next time to have a blanket over his head it apparently protects their nogen better then we think! :)
