Guardian Angels -- Fact or Fiction?

So I can honestly say I believe in Angels-- I believe we are helped along and guided every day by special Angels that are there to make sure we stay safe and happy. I used to believe that they had wings and pretty white dresses and of course I knew they had hallows. About 1 week before Christmas, maybe less-- it was a Monday -- I had driven to work -- the roads were snow covered and not to bad- I'm getting to be a pro at maneuvering through my winter wonderland! Chet had needed the pickup for some reason-- usually I take it-- because my professional car driving skills are nothing compared to his-- and he likes to shovel -- should he run off the road-- I'd just sit there and cry! But any way -- I had the car this day . . . we had a birthday part at work and as I watched the snow coming down -- I was getting more and more nervous-- we already had alot of snow and if it started to blow at all- I was never getting home! Sure enough before I was done with my lunch I could see the trees at the courthouse starting to blow. I called my neighbor -- the Jensens and spoke with Jenny -- she said it looked pretty bad. I told her I was at work and thinking about coming home- - she thought that was a good idea-- ok-- so I tried to quickly get all my work out and ready to go. Jana Jensen called a few minutes later and said its time to leave. Ok -- I'm gone-- she told me to stop and get some groceries if I needed, cuz I might not be getting out again for a while-- oh wonderful! Jana told me to call when I reached 65th West-- the road we live on-- ok-- she said I'll meet you with the pickup and make sure you get home-- oh wonderful-- I stopped and got bread, milk and eggs-- when I left the dairy I called Jana and she would be waiting. The highway was ridiculous-- you couldn't see anything and the wind was pushing my car all over! This -- idiot driver passedme and blew snow all over me and I couldn't see anything for what seemed like ever! Finally the snow cleared and I was still on the road-- hooray for that! As I approached where the road should be I couldn't see it-- I kept going and going-- and finally turned around-- thinking I missed it - - nope didn't miss it-- turned around again -- in the middle of the highway -- finally I could see Jana waiting for me-- as I turned the corner- the world came to a stand still-- oh my gosh -- I was alreayd soo freaking scared I was laughing-- you know that gotta laugh or I'm gonna cry feeling! Jana started blazing the trail in front of me -- and it was a good thing-- she was maybe 50 feet in front of me and all I could see was an occasional tail light-- but she was making a path through the huge drifts in the road-- she drove me all the way to my driveway -- i was soo grateful and just about in tears-- Chet called just as I got home and I told him to head home- the roads were soo nasty and bad! From then on -- I believed that my Guardian Angels didn't have wings- they drove Chevy's!

Today my theory was tested - - Once again -- we got tons of snow over the weekend and then the wind decides to blow. Chet had left Sunday night on a hunt -- that I was supposed to go-- but didn't feel well so I decided to stay home. But that left me with the car. I figured -- well if I can't get out in the morning I'll just stay home till the plows come by! Not a big huge deal-- just a little inconvenient. So this morning-- I busted through the drifts out to feed the cows and horses and get more fire wood- the drifts in the yard were incredible! I went inside and started to get ready for work-- when Annie (the dog) started barking-- I looked out the window and there in the driveway was my brother-in-law Chris (Chet's brother). Hmm I wonder what he needs? I answered the door and he asked me how I was getting to work-- the car-- he said nope you aren't -- I had to bust through drifts in the pickup to get out here. I'll just take you-- Oh that is super nice! As I finished getting ready -- he even shoveled my walk so I didn't have to dive in snow drifts in work clothes. He took me into town and to his house-- and let me take his pickup to work and I'll keep it until Chet gets home -- hopefully tonight! I cannot even begin to express how grateful I was to have someone watching out for me! He had been taking his kids to school -- which is about 5 miles in towards town and decided to come and check on me, knowing Chet was gone! What a great guy! So Now I'm pretty sure that Guardian Angels don't just drive Chevy's, but Ford's are acceptable too!

A huge thank you to all my Guardian Angels!
