Last 22 Weeks

So For the Last 22 or so (give or take) I've been very busy -- very creative even-- Yup-- I'm crafty - I'm making a human-- I'm sure the people that read this- already know- they've seen me- they've seen my enormous belly - they've heard me whine relentlessly of being tired or sick- or GROUCHY!!  -- But just to further document it-- here it is!!!

I've really tried hard to stay on top of documenting this pregnancy -- so here goes!!

Found out I was pregnant on February 28-- surprise of all surprises (good surprise though!)

Went in for an early ultrasound on February 29, 2012 to find out how far along I was-- cuz well nothing to go by as far as Last Date --  (that's how big of a surprise it was!!!)  -- Found out I was 6 weeks 3 days pregnant !  With a due date of October 20, 2012.

We had Porter come with us to the ultrasound-- he said it was an egg- and he'd be careful not to break it-- this changed later to - I'm gonna scramble it-- He still has not come around to the idea of any one else- especially a baby in his house!!

Six Weeks -- by the end of this week- I was already starting to feel crappy -- which kept me reassured (since the ultrasound did not show a heart beat - which freaked me out to no end!) Especially since my next doc appointment wasn't for 3 weeks-- puking and other lovely pregnancy symptoms (i.e boobs so sore I hated anyone to even look at them!) kept me hoping that everything was ok!
I had not yet told any one -besides Chet, that I was pregnant and so my frequent trips to the bathroom at work and my increasing waiste line was getting hard to hide from my mom - especially!! (since she works with me and I pass by her desk to puke!)

I had my first official OB appointment at 9 weeks - -I was terrified- I was sure I was gonna hear bad news - -The Doc came in and said he would search for a heart beat- but not to freak out if he didn't find it- they'd just have me come back in a couple more weeks and look again (apparently that is not uncommon to not find it with dopplar at 9 weeks- although Porter we found at 8 weeks!)
So he searched -- and it didn't take long- to hear the sweetest sound- a very strong- very fast heart beat- beating steadily at 168 bpm --

That curbed my fears for that exact minute!!!

I continued to feel soo crappy I puked less than i did with Porter- but I wanted to puke all day eery day- every second- I had no appetite- and just wanted to curl up and sleep! -- Which Chet lovingly let me do when he was home!!!

11 Weeks- wow I was getting pasty!!
Still feeling soo crappy - and my fears returned-- (I'm usually good for about a week after a doc appointment then I'm terrified-)  I was feeling bad for being scared- and not enjoying what I was doing-- but all my symptoms stuck around- and that gave me glimpses of hope!!

We announced our pregnancy to friends and family on April 1- April Fools- with this super cute picture!!
I think they were all surprised (except my mom) she was totally on to me! and it was a good thing I announced cuz- my belly was growing super fast!!

12 weeks- Yup still not feeling good at all? But now I could whine about it!! That made it better.

At 12 weeks I had a milestone-- I was sure I had felt the baby move- it was a sunday -- April 8, 2012,  I was sitting on the couch- watching a show- and felt a definite thump thump-- that was all I felt for a really long time after -- tothe point of me even getting nervous- imagine that--
Turns out I have an Anterior Facing Placenta- which blocks alot of the movement I might otherwise feel--so I feel some on the bottom of my uterus- some on each sides- but nothing in the middle!!  But I kept my movements feeling to myself- I did tell Chet- but was still soo guarded-- I always fear that if I say something- hey I felt this or that- or whatever- that at my next appointment I'll get bad news- and it will turn out the movement or whatever I was feeling was all in my head!!  So I guard things like a pitbull for a long time!

Week 13 we had another doctor appointment- Heartbeat was super easy to find even though the baby was a swimmer and kept dodging the doppler the heart beat was strong at 145.

There is no week 13 pic-- that was a crazy week- and I felt crappy - and 13 is a unlucky number- so here is Week 14 - in all its glory!

Week 15-- the magical Week
I always remember week 15 with Porter the week I quit puking- the week - I could finally brush my teeth- fairly thoroughly - up until that point my oral hygiene had taken a significant beating- as my toothbrush and me had battles!!!

It was pretty much the same with this pregnancy Magical WEek 15 -- the lights came back on-- my stomach untightened- I didn't want to heave every waking minute- and I even kind of felt hungry -- Up until this point-- I hadn't really gained much weight either-- (other than the surprise 5 pounds I put on before I knew I was prego!!)  - but nothing new to report to the doc-- even though my belly kept getting bigger!!!

Week 16

Tiredness eeks back in- I had one good week- and now I'm tired again- oh well - joys of creating a baby and having a baby at home!!

Week 17 - doing good --
Doctor's appointment went well- got to schedule my ultrasound soo exciting- and heart beat was a strong strong 147

 18 Weeks

Can't fnd week 19 - maybe missed that one too- but it looks about the same!!

at 19 weeks we had our ultrasound-- May 29, 2012- the baby was active- but uncooperative- kept its tiny feet pressed tightly together knees sprawled out- and sitting on them-- would never show any of the bits to determine whether I need to wash blue clothes or start buying pink--  but that's ok- they said I could do another ultrasound at 28 weeks- but we are now considering just letting it be a surprise!!!

Feeling tons more movement- even though still nothing in the center- that placenta is a good pillow!! blocks all sorts of movement!!

Oh my hugeness!  I had just finished a delicious Father's day dinner at my mom's so maybe that is why I look so huge- ! Wow!!!
21 Week doctor appointment went really well Baby was super active- with a heart rate of 154 bpm

Now I'm in Week 22-- feeling pretty good- although tired-- to be expected!!
The baby had the hiccups for the first time I could feel yesterday - seriously feels like it is trying to jack hammer its way out!! Crazy wiggly baby!!!

So i will keep updating- periodically - but this is me-- in all my huge glory!!!

Wow! Impressive although I have to disagree with you on #13 that is my favorite number and this baby is #13 of grandbabies! Not to mention it is going to come on the 13 and if it does and if it is a girl I vote it should be named after her favorite aunt Kara!!!! Just a suggestion a very STRONG suggestion! :)
