Father's Day 2012

So Father's Day is a very important day - it ranks right up there with Mother's day and people's birthday's.   But due to my lack of ideas- since my brain is in neutral  - - and lack of energy, time, money, (you name it!)  I didn't know what to do for Chet for Father's Day!!

Then I had this wonderful wonderful idea-- seriously it was good--

Make Hand print molds- I loved the idea-- then it got more complicated- and feet print molds-- oh yes- feets are cute!!

Then I wanted to incorporate a picture I'd taken at the river a few weeks before into it-

to make it a managerie of Memories- it was getting out of control--

Luckily I have great people to guide me- and not let me get out of control (thank you my dear friends [Cindy!]) -- and this wonderful idea was created--

So Saturday I was busy - I had tons to do - to get my "Perfect  Father's Day" accomplished --

Me and Porter worked and worked- and he bawled some- because apparently painting his feet - is his least favorite task?? go figure- he likes his toes painted- same same right??- Wrong!!!

We also made some Grandpa gifts- that I think turned out adorable-- (Although I do not think I got a  final pic of them? oops!)

We did Hand molds and then I let Porter paint them-- then wrote along the top (Dave don't read this-- or you will ruin your surprise!!) -- but we wrote-- Hands Down Best Grandpa

Porter was soo cute painting each of them- kept saying- Grandpa is really gonna like this-- Yup Grandpa is really gonna love this- and then he was soo excited for my dad to get home from Church so he could give him his "hand"-- Then we had steak and all sorts of wondeful food at my mom's house to celebrate what an amazing father my dad is!!!

And to top it off- I had a wonderful breakfast planned (Since Chet's awful work schedule dictated that he spend his whole day working- from 12-8 boo!!!)

So me and Porter made Baked French Toast on Saturday to sit in teh fridge and get delicious over night!!

Stirring up the egg mixture-- he loves to stir eggs!!!

And the final product- yummo!!

When Chet got home he and Porter still had soe energy to play while I laid on the couch still tired from the day before!!

This is what chet and Porter do most evenings (that Chet is home!)
But Chet insisted Porter wear a helmet to ride the "wild buffalo" today! hehhehe!!!

Silly boys!!!

I hope chet had a wonderful Father's day and knows how much we love and appreciate him.
