Chet, Beckie, Porter and Others: What a Weekend

What a Weekend

So this weekend was eventful -- to say the least!!!

Friday -- Hmm what happened Friday -- Can't remember-- ooh this is a bad sign! I had so many things to write about---

Saturday -- Hmm?? Oh Saturday we went and looked at a pickup-- found one we liked and away we go ---

Saturday night-- Chet got home around midnight-- and about 12:30 we finally got to bed-- I was soo tired from my big day -- that I can't remember what I did- that I zonked out!!

Around 2:30 -- I woke up and the whole room was red -- kind of startled-- I wondered what was going on-- I looked out the window and with my sleepy eyes and lack of contacts-- it looked like Christmas-- tons of red, yellow and white lights-- oh my what is going on--

NOw earlier that week -- there was a fugitive (I use that term loosely -- mostly he was a loser who was stealing cars) running from the police in our area-- very near my house-- and I was sure that some one was at it again-- I woke up Chet and grabbed my glasses-- to see what might be going on -- people were all over the neighbors house- hhmmm-- Chet drove down to see what was going on and make sure that there was nothing to be alarmed about-- the neighbors house was on fire-- no kidding!!-- how freaky is that!! We sat up and watched it burn and smoke bellow out until about 3:30--then went back to bed-- but couldn't sleep--
The pumps from the fire trucks are soo loud--they sprayed water until almost 6:00 -- uhg!! Soo tired need sleep!!

After finally getting to sleep-- we all -- including Porter slept until about 10:30-- wow--

We got up and decided going to church was out of the question-- since we wouldn't make there until it was done--

so we loaded up and decided to take a nice drive-- cuz it was a beautiful day !!

We ended up around Heise area-- and hiked down to the river-- Porter's Big Day of fishing!!

I can't say he loved it-- cuz I don't think he did-- but it was soo nice to be out!!
