6 Months-- what a busy Time!!!

Porter turned 6 months old last Saturday-- he had such a big day planned-- and we managed to get everything in!!!! But first things first-- 6 Month Stats!!!

Weight -- 14 lbs 15 ounces (why not just say 15 pounds!!) --19th percentile
Height -- 26 1/4 inches (that is basically 6 inches longer than when he was born) -- 50th percentile
Head -- can't remember-- 40 some odd centimeters-- but I do remember 40th percentile!

His shots were tortuous-- and I always make Chet hold him-- if he is mad at Chet fine-- if he is mad at me-- he has a tendency to bite the straw that feeds him (if you know what I mean!)

Porter is eating more and more foods now-- and really enjoys some of them!

peaches are his all time favorite and he gets very excited!!

The other stuff- well that is just stuff!! Peas, beans, -- the stuff that is good for you-- he could care less- but as long as he gets his peaches-- ooh yumm!!!

He sits up-- mostly unassisted-- if he doesn't pay attention he tips over-- the boppy is great help for that!!

He jabbers and pulls cat hair-- that is his favorite-- his favorite toys-- are his cats and dogs-- I mean really who wouldn't like toys that move all on their own-- i have to admit-- its a bit of a love hate relationship-- Porter Loves--the animals Hate!

So for his 6 month birthday -- I consider this a huge milestone-- don't we always count 1/2 years?


So Chet had to work that morning--so me and Porter had big plans-- first things first-- pictures

This was Porter 6 month ago-- boy what a difference 6 months makes!!

This is "Tiny" 6 months old!!

Unhappy about being on his belly-- the tag on the Boppy is one of his favorite toys-- but it always lands him on his belly -- helpless! and mad!!


That can be fixed quickly-- smile baby smile!

Grandpa Purcell came over to haul hay-- Porter didn't have his work clothes on -- but here is a preview of how cute his work clothes are!!

Porter did have plans with Grandpa though-- his first driving lesson!!

Ready set, here we Go!! Porter loves to ride with Grandpa!!!

After working with Grandpa for a while-- it was time for some food!!

Grandpa and Grandma Purcell took us to McDonalds-- for Fries and hamburgers--

Porter loves fries!! Yummo!!

Then to Lowes to see Chet at work--

Then off to Pocatello-- to celebrate with Grandpa Thompson-- his late birthday!!!


We had dinner, enchiladas were soo good!

and Pie-- Yumm!!

Presents-- Look what Porter and Chet made for Grandpa!!
Its a picture frame with a deer antler for the stand! Pretty Tricky!!


Then bath time in Grandma Thompson's sink!! Ooh I love my toys!!

It was a great 6 month birthday!

On a side note-- Porter sittingup-- is a huge plus--means he can play by himself for a few minutes at a time!! And he loves to watch baby einstein!! Gives me just enough time in the morning to either blow dry myhair-- or go and feed animals!!


I just love the back of his little head-- he is soo into Baby Einstein (thanks Kara for letting us borrow it!!)
