Quilt Top

Soo -- I lack the creative eye -- that so many of my friends and family possess- so I figured I'd throw this out there to see if any of you know how-- or have any ideas on this.

I got the wonderful idea to make a levi quilt- warm, cozy, heavy! -- So I started ooh about 2 years ago- maybe more-- cutting blocks-- then I'd lose interest-- and go on with some other random project! Well this long holiday weekend- I got some ambition and finished cutting all my blocks-- laid them out-- and whalla!

I laid them out on a queen size comforter- so I made sure it was big enough !! My original thought-- ooh 2 years ago-- was to do a design in the levi with red-- I love red-- but I messed around with it for about 2 hours on Saturday and didn't love anything I came up with-- I'm gonna put red around the edge-- and red on the back, and probably tie it with red-- do yout think I should but some pattern int he actual quilt or just have it as an accent?

And does any one know about backing on quilts and stuff like that-- I know how to sew the blocks together to get the top-- but the rest is kind of a mystery to me?

ok so YOU are super crafty! I still have not touched a blanket it WAS going to make for Cooper...4 years ago! I think you should just tie it with red and maybe find some sweat shirt or flece fabric for the back in red... sounds cozy!!! I messed up on your vinyl so I'm working on the new one, I'm going to try to get you and Cindy's mailed in the next couple of days;)

Wow, you are ambitious. The quilt top looks great. Ya, I agree with Chy, some red fleece would look great tied with the string stuff. I don't know what it's called but it looks a lot nicer than yarn. Good luck.
