Life in the Fast Lane

What have we been up to lately -- well alot of things--

Between Porter's birthday --

Then Chet's Birthday --

and Me getting huge huge huge-- we have been having a great time--

Here are some fun pics so you can all see what it is- we've been up to:

I was finishing up a sewing project using Black Minky-- as a side note-- I will never (probably) ever sew with Minky again - once my two projects that are currently in progress are completed - I love how soft it is-- so if any one wants to make me MInky stuff- I'll gladly accept it-- but it is sooo hard to use and sew with- and my sub-par sewing skills were no match for its slick and stretchy texture-- ok side note complete--

I came out on Saturday morning to find Porter stripped naked- wrapped up in the pieces I had left laying on the ground (big black piece behind him!)  he then took all the scraps he could find and had me wrap them up on him- he loves loves loves the minky--  I was making a carseat cover with MInky on the back-- and he informs me " Mom you know- babies don't care if they get wind on them" -- He wants the car seat cover to be his-- I always tell him they are to keep wind off of babies!

Chet turned the big 34
We celebrated in many ways -- he had informed me he did not want a "production" made out of it- but I still drug it out-- we went to dinner the friday before with his family -- to Red Lobster-- oh my goodness- Me and Dave and Chet had all you can eat shrimp-- and I'm pleased to say - I kept up nicely with the boys-- plate for plate baby! Oh ya!!!
I got Chet a new range finder and some clothes-- he was pleased-- Porter was not!!!
We have been pretty good about documenting my growing belly -- I love to look back to when it was smaller- and remember how "huge" I felt then!! --

 32 Weeks--

33 Weeks- Yup- still prego (good thing huh!)

 34 weeks Oh my!!

35 weeks- Huge huge!!!

4 more weeks - and 2 days till my due date-- EEK!!!  I need the baby to stay in till the due date- my list of "To DO" things has not gotten smaller even though I am accomplishing things listed? - how does that work-- so I need the full 4-5 weeks!!!

Chet has been implementing a great plan with Porter- Porter is what the world calls "a Mammas  Boy" -- which I love-- but I am really afraid of the shock its going to be to his system- when I'm feeding the baby or doing something not with him-- so Chet has been trying - and doing a great job- at taking Porter to do "Man Things" -- just the two of them--

They camped in a tent for 2 nights-- Porter loved it-- they went fishing without me (which is nothing new!) -- we did campfires and made smores-- basically the whole camping  thing- without having to leave our yard!! It was perfect- and I really think it helped!!!

Of course a plate of surgary goodness!!!!
Cars Camp Chair- so he can be cool  and sit very close to the Fire!
Then a roaring fire (we waited until all the grain was cut!! no need to burn down my Dad's fields!!)

Porter wanted to take some pics of the fire too!
Learning how to roast the perfect mallow!!!!
Patience is hard- when waiting for a smore to be made!!!
and it turns out he doesn't really like them? Or roasted marshmallows? -- Just the chocolate -so he ate the chocolate me and Chet at the smores-- Oh yummy!!
Time for Bed- all set-- Milk and warm cozy jammies!!! (Chet should have taken a clue from Porter's warm jammies - Chet got cold in shorts!!)

Good night mom--
I slept all by myself in the house- it was lonely-- (really it was -- oddly lonely!-- with out two other people in my bed with me-- I slept really well once I finally gave in to my loneliness!!)

As sad as it is-- this is the only camping trip we did all summer-- from me and Chet who used to camp almost every weekend- to not havign put our tent up in over 2 years- we are slacking-- something fierce! But what can you do right!!!
