Porter's Birthday - 3yrs Old

Well as Chet would say -- I made quite an event out of Porter's birthday.-- and yes I did!!

It started ahead of his birthday and continued strong right through the day!!!


It started out with Dave and Verena coming to visit (since they were not able to make it to the Lake!) -- They came bearing gifts- and boy did Porter love it!!! (some how I got no pics of this- I was sure I taking pics too- pregnancy brain is a weird thing!!!

We Sang Happy birthday on ice cream-- and Porter sang the loudest-- he loves to sing happy birthday and it cracks me up every time!!!



We continued singing on ice cream for the rest of the week- one can never have to much practice when it comes to singing Happy Birthday!!!


Saturday the 25th of August- we headed to the lake- i was nervous the weather would not cooperate- but am happy to say - that the weather was soo nice- cool enough for the parents not playing in the Lake- but warm enough for the brave kiddos - submerged in the water!!!

 

The Kids played and played while the adults ate and ate-- we had sandwiches from Sandwich Tree (yum!) and PB&J for little kids- or adults who don't like Sandwich Tree!

 

Fruit and chips (thank you Chris for bringing Chips!)

and instead of cake- we had rice crispy treats!!!

I am not sure what my problem is here- maybe I was stinky??

The Bandaid on Porter's ear- oh my-- well earlier that morning he thought it was a good idea to try to ride our big cat- the one with claws- and got scratched-- he insisted he needed a bandaid-- 

We tried to get it off (after he put it on himself - attaching it firmly to his hair!)

It finally came off- and scalped him in the process!!

 

 Soo Happy Together!!!!

 Kara got some awesome pics of the kids playing- go and check them out-- but I had to steal this one!!!

Lots of friends and family came- and we stayed and played until almost 5:00 p.m.  WOW!

Sunday the 26th -- we headed to my parents house for more birthday surprises -- dinner with Gramma and Grandpa and new sunday clothes!! --

Hands down favorite picture "Happy" --  He was singing soo loud!!  Cracked me up!!!!

The on his actual birthday -- me and Chet got him to ourselves-- after work - we went to Leos- had some fries and chicken nuggets- and played in the arcade for a while!!

The arcade is great -- he doesn't know that the cars or gun machines take money or tokens- cuz they have the cars driving the whole time- (he is sure its him controling it!) and the guns shooting the demo mode-- so it was a cheap cheap arcade visit!! (Again i have pics on my phone- but have yet to figure out how to get them off!!!)

We headed home for one more present (we had gotten him a trampoline weeks ago!! - that was his real birthday present) but I felt bad not having something for him to open on his actual birthday--

we got him shooting earmuffs- and then we went outside and shot-- it was soo much fun--

Such a great 3yr old birthday--

Love that boy so much-- don't know what I'd do with my time without him--

WE'll get his 3yr old stats next week at his doctors appointment--  to see how much he's grown!!
