The UDDER One

So -- I have a little bit of a freak out session - every time Porter does something new- that's bigger --

I freaked out when we brought him home from the hospital - and had to put him in a bassinet to sleep- he looked soo small and tiny in that huge bed !!

Then the bassinet got to small and I had to put him in the crib- again a freak out -- the crib was huge- he was soo small!!

Now Porter has been insisting on sleeping in The Udder One - -  (I don't have a picture- I fear the flash will wake him up-- and no one should ever wake up a baby--)

We have a full size bed set up in his room - on Sunday -- he was having a rough night- so I got him out of his crib and me and him slept in that bed- he slept really good- stayed there and didn't fuss --

That started a tidal wave- the next night- he freaked out when I laid him down in his crib- and screamed for "The Udder One" --

So I laid him down in the big bed- which he looks soo tiny in- he insisted I lay next to him - and he crashed out immediately -I got out and went to bed- That night he got up around 2:30 a.m. -- wandered into the hall- Chet was in the living room messing with the fire -- Porter asked for Milk- and then Went back to "The Udder One" with Chet-

The next night- he woke up around 3:00 and cried in the hall- tillI got up - and went out- I put him in my bed- and he freaked out and insisted -- "no - The Udder One" - so I put him back in his bed- laid down by him for a minute and again he slept the rest of the night!!

Last night- set up the big bed with more blankets and some  of his toys from his crib -- he climbed in - I laid down by him for a minute- he crashed out - and I got out-- He stayed in there all night- This morning he came wandering out- it is soo surprising for me to see him walk into my bedroom - !  My baby thinks he is big -- and I'm not sure I want that--

We'll see how it goes with "The Udder One" but for now- Porter thinks that is where he sleeps- and as long as he sleeps- fine!!!

Garrett got that way. Its actually nice when they will sleep through the night in the bed of their choice. Now just train him to turn on the tv and eat his own cereal while you sleep! Haha!

That's awesome! I have been trying to decide what to do with Cade, it seems we are at the same "bridge to cross" with these two little boys! I usually do the freak out thing too so don't feel alone, or stupid! :)

I hope my comment got saved, I've tried commenting lots of times on your blog but it won't save it for some reason. If it didn't I basically said, I freak out too, don't feel bad and I'm trying to decide what to do with Cade as far as the bed thing goes too. I like what you said though...if he's sleeping.....who cares!

I love it!! I'm not sure Hallie will ever get out of the crib. I have put her in the bed thats in her room that Lyss won't sleep in and at one point she loved it and now she always wants to be in the crib!
