Soo Scary!

When I was pregnant-- I thought this was the safest that Porter would ever be-- right here close to me-- I was content-- having him just swim around forever--

(Just 5 days before I had to really put him in there!)

When we brought him home and I put him in the craddle for the first time- he looked soo tiny in there-- I was soo scared-- would he be ok-- how would I know- me and Chet finally put him in bed with us that first night- because we were both a wreck checking on him--

Well he finally got to where he'd sleep really well in his craddle-- I loved it-- it would rock-- and was just ooh soo cute-

Then he started waking himself up-- by hitting the sides-- oh no-- to big for the craddle-- but I love the craddle--

(How Precious-- see he still fits-- kind of!)

(His last night in the craddle-- I was very sad-- I love the craddle! )

Ok-0 maybe time for the crib-but the crib is soo big-- and so far away-- and he's so tiny-- I was immediately paranoid again-- I took the stuff out of the crib (i'd been using it for storage) and took the towels off of the ooh soo cute crib set -- and stared-- there is no way my tiny baby will be safe in here--- its just to big-- and so I scrapped the idea for another day-- well the next day -- I was feeling braver-- ok-- I'll try it for a while--

(Tiny baby looks soo small in that huge crib!-- Maybe I'll just get in with him!)

well he seemed to enjoy it-- and guess what-- he is ok-- yup-- he survived the transition-- me not so much-- he still ends up in bed with me most mornings-- we like to snuggle!!

Oh Beckie, you're so funny! I couldn't stand having my kid so close to me in our room with all the noises they make all night so we moved her into her crib across the hall when she was three weeks old. Funny how we're all so different about things.

You'll just have to have another baby to put in that little cradle! haha! He's so sweet when he's sleeping. What a cutie!

It is a rough transition, isn't it? I cried when Jocelyn moved into her crib. And we waited until she was 6 months old! I still check on her at least once a night and as soon as she wakes up, she's in bed snuggling with us.
